Job maintains his independence.
We do not read that Job asked his friends to visit him or bring him anything; they just showed up and in doing so gave him nothing but grief! It maybe that their intensions were honourable…just maybe! Maybe they were genuine in their concern for his condition…maybe! But so far we have learned that they were out of order not only in their belief about Job but also in their way of dealing with it.
